His distinctive design style and marketing strategies earned him many awards. In 1990 he established a branch of his marketing agency in Munich, Germany, to expand his agency into international marketing in Europe. He is a former President of the German American Chamber of Commerce, Colorado, USA.

For three years she was an assistant professor for Intercultural Communications and German Language at Seoul National University in South Korea, and she has traveled extensively throughout Asia. In 1991 in Munich, Germany, she formed her own company, combining cross-cultural business and German language training for international companies. Her clients included Siemens, DASA, GenRad, Deutsches Patentamt, Pratt & Whitney, Future Electronics and ERC Francona.
